With huge thanks to George Giles, this wonderful photo of the Talbingo Hotel, which was located where Lake Jounama currently is. Click on the picture for the full size.
Does anyone know the whereabouts of two caricatures that used to hang in the old Talbingo hotel? They were titled “Rounding up the Polled Herefords” (Mr. C. H. Archer of Wantabadgery East) and “And What of the Red Polls?” (Mr. John Perry, of Perry Brothers, Bundaleer, Tarana.
Both caricatures were reproduced on page 10 of COUNTRY LIFE AND STOCK AND STATION JOURNAL Friday, March 13, 1942.
