What a neat picture!!! For the historical part, for sure, but also we are a Cork Family in Central British Columbia, Canada, and also own a 1928 Model A Ford,(two door). We would very much like to have any of the Cork family from this picture reply to us. We must be related!!!!

Hi Sam, my grandfathers brother Herrick Cork owned this ford dealership in Tumut, snowy mountains Australia (we think he is the second from the left). He died in 1966. His grandfather was William Edwards Cork who was sent to Tasmania from England on a convict ship in 1831.

So glad you responded!!!!! My grandfather was William (unknown second name) Cork, he and his 4 brothers came from England to East coast of Canada , late 1800’s, my grandpa was only one to come west (to Alberta) shortly after.
Your family is all in Australia?
My wife and I would like to stay in contact with you and your family, maybe share some pics etc.
If this ok with you, our email is (scork@goldcity.net).
My uncle (Kayo Aspel) owned a Ford garage in Dawson Creek(mile 0 of the Alaska Hwy, built at the start of WW 2) it is still in operation today, but with different family owners.
Our family mainly in BC and Alberta, we have a daughter and her family in Regina Sask.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sam and Diane Cork.
