Hello I live in Brisbane, Qld and my maiden name is Beattie. My 2xgreat grandfather was Frederick Beattie, my great grandfather was Joseph Beattie – they arrived in Moreton Bay in 1883 on the Scottish Hero. However, what struck me most about this photograph is the little blonde girl in the front Stella (Telly) Isabella Beattie and how much my older sister and I resembled her as children as well as my sister’s granddaughter.
    Thank you Kathy (Beattie)

My sister looks so much like Stella at the same age.

My great-grandmother was Euphemia Blanche Beattie Christie. She was born in Pictou, Nova Scotia to Robert and Margaret (Kennedy) Beattie. She married Capt. George Christie. They raised a large family at Pictou Landing, N.S. and both are buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou landing. I hope to learn more about my Beattie ancestors.
