Thanks to Sid Birclin for pointing us to this gem of a video filmed in 1989 when the Mountain High Railway Company refurbished part of the Tumut to Batlow line.
worked on Gundagai rail bridge 1955-6 camped, in tent in the goods yard with Ollie Fredericks, George Hilwa, Snowey Danvis, other gang member Nobby Bell lived locally. Transferred to Gilmore fettlers gang on Gilmore to Batlow line,when running lengths were altered,transferred to Batlow fettlers gang, then to Tumut to Mount Horab rail link length under ganger Dave Post with Milton ——, Vince Bolger &, Alf Griffith left 1969 came to Sydney on better employment offer.Just an aside which pre-dates the closure & refurbishment adding a little to history of Tumut area railway.
